Since we opened our first ela! Greek Taverna (formerly Opa) over a decade ago, our commitment has been to provide you with the most authentic Greek dining experience possible; the same kind of wonderful experience enjoyed by our families and friends while growing up in the villages of Greece.
Our passion is simple: select the best ingredients for which to prepare our food. Everyone in our organization is relentless about sourcing the freshest, highest quality items from local organic farms whenever possible. The succulent lamb comes
from Colchester County, the delicious chicken and beef comes from the beautiful Annapolis Valley, and the highly praised fish comes from Sambro and the coast of Nova Scotia.
We take great pride in our commitment to buy local, which also contributes tremendously to saving the environment.
By combining such high quality, local ingredients from here with authentic extra virgin olive oil, feta and olives found in the mountains and hills of beautiful Greece, our chefs personally nurture each dish to maintain the ingredient’s distinct flavor and nutritional value
